SECTION 1 – DEALERSHIP ADMINISTRATION
1.5 Authorized Parts and Service Sub Agents (Excluding Remote Mining Subagents)
An Authorized Parts and Service Sub Agent (APSSA) outlet is a repair and service facility which may perform warranty repairs on behalf of an Authorized Dealership.
It is the responsibility of the Authorized Dealership to ensure that any claims received from the APSSA and subsequently submitted, are in compliance with the Warranty and Policy Manual. APSSA Repair Orders for valid warranty repairs may be submitted to the Authorized Dealership for claim processing, in accordance with the following:
- Must be an Authorized APSSA as notated on the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement.
- Parts supply must be through the Authorized Dealership processing the claim
- All parts, using the part numbers and the quantity used must be entered in the parts field for the warranty claim. Parts must not be claimed by entering the invoice cost into the miscellaneous field. Parts Handling Allowance is payable for these claims
- Freight costs are not claimable separately for the movement of parts to the APSSA as this is to be recovered by the Authorized Dealership through the Parts Handling Allowance if required
- The Authorized Dealership must use the Repair Order documentation from the APSSA to submit claims. These Repair Orders will be processed as per any normal warranty claim, in compliance with this manual. For example, the Repair Order from the APSSA must have a valid Fault, Cause and Rectification, clocking, test results, etc.
- Labour must be claimed as SLTS by the Dealership. These SLTS must be supported by the Technician report from the APSSA Repair Order.
